I am grateful that you are considering working with me! I believe that clients are able to heal, grow, and move forward when they are in a caring environment and have a trusting relationship with their therapist. I utilize an eclectic approach and employ evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and others in assisting clients with creating strategies that address their specific needs and life situations. Therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist, one in which the client is the expert on self, and the therapist guides the process. I like to take a holistic approach in working with clients because I believe that integration of body, mind, and spirit is necessary for a person to feel and be whole. Many of my clients also find mindfulness, essential oils, meditation, and music helpful. I would like to share my favorite quote, “Do not fear the winds of adversity. Remember: A kite rises against the wind rather than with it,” and such is life.
