My area of expertise is in youth and family work. My goal as a professional counselor is to bridge the gap between youth and adults to foster positive and encouraging communication to build connection with in the relationship. This being stated, I also find the issues adults have when working with in their relationships with others are related. These issues often lead to disconnection, anxiety, depression, anger and a multitude of overwhelming emotions. I love working with those who struggle with how to connect with others and learning to find the path they need to be on to maximize their abilities to better connect with others. I feel that our world is caught in a state of disconnection and I honestly feel that everyone could use a dose of DBT - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to address issues with perceived polar opposites. In doing this skills will be learned how to not get caught in the "Brain Storm" and working through the process of learning how to navigate "Stink'n Think'n". I really hope to support you in your journey on bettering yourself and your ability to connect with others with more meaning and fulfillment. This is a process and takes work with in the counseling session and away from it! My approach helps you identify your pitfalls to help you better yourself and enrich your ability to strengthen your relationships.
