Just because you carry it well, does not mean it is not heavy. On the outside it seems you have it together. You have a life, a home, and obligations. People depend on and respect you. But on the inside, you fear it will all fall apart. No one knows how loud it is in your head: all the noise, worry, shame, insecurity, loneliness, negative self-evaluations. Substances, sex, cutting, or food used to help, but now they just make it worse. You want and crave connection while keeping everyone at a safe distance: If they knew the REAL you, it would be too much. Let's honor your resiliency and work towards healing. My passion lies in helping others overcome past hurts, wounds, and traumas, whether as an individual or as a couple and I am trained in EMDR trauma therapy, DBT, and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples.
