Simone is interested in girls’ and women’s mental health across the life span, and specifically in perinatal mental health. As an immigrant herself, Simone is concerned about the emotional impact of the experience of immigration on her clients’ lives. Simone is attentive to the intersection of culture and her clients’ identities and approaches her clients through a psychodynamic lens and with attachment, trauma, cognitive behavioral and narrative theories. Simone is an empathetic professional who focuses on the importance of the therapeutic relationship for the success of the therapeutic process. Simone is a Portuguese native speaker, trained in Brazil where she worked in a Perinatal Unit specialized in the care of high-risk pregnant women. Simone has an specialization in Children and Teenagers Psychotherapy at Instituto Nacional da Fernandes Figueira.
