My motivation working with clients is to assist them to live their best life. Whether you are dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, I want to work with you to lessen the amount of energy you are using to cope. They take so much of our energy that they leave us with little to put toward living our best life. It becomes a vicious cycle that seems we can't break, untreated they can take over our lives. Working together we can lessen their effect on our daily lives and have energy to focus on the good in our life. As a counselor I believe providing clients with information to assist them to make the best decision for them. I have several methods that we can utilize in our counseling sessions such as; EMDR, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT and others. What we use will be based on what we are focusing on; your background and what you feel comfortable using. Addressing issues that you may have been dealing with can be scary and hard; maybe you don't remember not feeling this way and you question what it will be like without them. Honestly, it can be just as overwhelming to think about going to therapy as it is to live with you have been, but you won't be alone. Together we will get through it.
