Tony, a South Bronx native from New York, brings an empathic and accepting atmosphere to the therapy room. As a clinician, Tony strives to understand and connect with his clients on a deeper level to tackle life difficulties and struggles together. He believes in using a flexible and integrative approach to foster insight into current life stressors, thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. By working collaboratively, he seeks to help his clients gain hope, empowerment, and action toward change and get closer to a life that is values consistent. Tony has helped those who struggle with disordered eating, life transitions, grief, stress, anxiety, and depression. His experiences range from various care settings, including Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Tony’s clinical training has taken place in community mental health and school-based therapy. In an effort to tackle and destigmatize mental health services within the Latinx Community, Tony, a second-generation Ecuadorian immigrant, also emphasizes working with those with Hispanic/Latinx backgrounds, identities, or origins. Tony is bilingual and is able to communicate fluently in Spanish. He is also an avid listener of Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro.
