I focus on helping my clients improve their awareness of the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Though the development of a strong therapeutic relationship, I aim to help clients celebrate their strengths as well identify and challenge the maladaptive patterns that are keeping them stuck. Together we may explore new ways of labeling and expressing emotion, identify problematic interpersonal patterns, or challenge unhelpful mindsets. My approach emphasizes curiosity, not judgment, around the complex topics that often come up during our work together. My clinical background in university counseling centers and community mental health clinics has created a strong foundation for working with a wide variety of clients with diverse backgrounds and concerns. I completed a specialized postdoctoral fellowship in eating disorders assessment and treatment at New York University. My integrative treatment style allows for me to adapt the therapeutic approach to the specific concerns of the client. I collaborate with the client to address their needs and preferences for the therapeutic space. Working from a psychodynamic base, I integrate emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, ACT, and interpersonal techniques.
