Hola! Hello! My name is Ruth Yáñez, LMSW, my pronouns are she/her/ella and I am an immigrant who came to this Country at 10-years old. I am a Mexican therapist who is also a mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and a comadre. My passions in life are social justice and behavioral health and I have learned to combine both of these through my lived experiences! As your therapist, I will honor your feelings and past experiences with compassion, empathy, and a culturally centered lens. I am rooted in finding ways to decolonize the way I practice and be able to hold space for your own experiences of struggle, wounded parts and validate your pain. I am a solution focused, healing centered therapist who believes that emotions are healthy, and they help us in our healing.
