With 25+ years providing mental health services in a variety of settings, I have the experience and flexibility to meet clients needs, even those with challenging situations/illness. I have a special interest working with adults who are experiencing a first episode of mental illness, as with early expert care and connection to available supportive services, recovery and quality of life are maximized. I am knowledgeable about Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety and Hoarding. I have an interest working to maximize clients' health across dimensions (physical, social, relationships) as these all contribute to wellness. I utilize an eclectic approach, with Cognitive Behavioral, Behavioral, Supportive & Problem Solving techniques. I strive to assess each Client's strengths/challenges then use an approach that best suits their unique personality, needs, and the client's desired outcomes. I have had the pleasure of providing inpatient & outpatient services to clients and their families as well as clinical case management, crisis intervention, psychiatric rehabilitation and psychiatric research. I am active with NASW-MD and NAMI.
