Daniel Carini is a 20 year veteran of working with at risk children, teens and families. His areas of focus include ADHD, LGBTQA populations, communication and boundary work, DBT mood management and complex or generational trauma. Daniel has been employed in a number of helping roles as he found his career path in therapeutic services. Currently Daniel works part time within a high school settings but takes additional clients via telehealth in the evenings and with limited office availability. Also offers private consultations for families struggling with adult family members who refuse care. Daniel found his vocation for therapy spending eight and a half years as first an IICAPS mental health worker, and later as a therapist. Daniel went on to earn his LCSW working as the therapist for adolescent group homes, as an addiction counselor, a clinical supervisor for an EMPS/211 team. Daniel has experience with GLBTQA supportive care. Daniel has a broad range of experience with traditional talk therapy, working with struggling families to achieve better communication and support. Addiction, trauma and long term interpersonal conflict have been the most common types of issues Daniel has experience with in his career, with DBT and CBT modalities and person centered treatment.
