Terryn Maher is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience working in enhanced levels of mental health care. She is passionate about helping young children who have been through trauma or major life changes utilizing play therapy, as well as adults who have identified issues that they find impact their everyday lives, relationships, and ability to parent in a healthy way. Terryn specializes in trauma-related issues, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and anxiety disorders. Terryn completed her Master of Arts in Community Counseling at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She also completed a graduate certificate in play therapy, a specialized therapeutic approach often utilized for children in the 2.5 to 10-year-old range who may not be able to verbalize and process their issues utilizing traditional talk therapy, due to developmental understanding. Terryn has also completed multiple trauma-related trainings to become a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP), allowing her to provide trauma-informed care to all of her clients.
