I started Aptitude Behavioral Services, LLC to service school-age children in the East TN area. I love working with children through pre-teen ages and have also worked with a few higher-functioning teenagers. My typical day involves working with families that face challenges with behavior and working directly with children to decrease these behaviors while building skill deficits. I enjoy including family in my sessions and want to empower caregivers and family members so that they are equipped to handle behavioral challenges. I practice Applied Behavior Analysis in my office, but also in the home and school settings. I prefer to use the natural environment but couple this with research- and evidence-based practices in the field of ABA. I particularly love to work on skill-building, include social skills, daily living skills, and school-based skills. I have worked with children for over 15 years and have a profound understanding of environmental factors contributing to behavior problems. I bring my unique insight into children to my practice and work individually with families to create treatment plans that are special for each child's needs.
