Children are a treasure and a joy. When faced with challanges, they need a person of their own to help them through their challanges. Parents need support as well. My work focuses on children 18 and under, but particularly on younger children (2-5), up through elementary. I use a relational model, behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and expressive therapies. I have experience with traumatized children, sexually abused children, children with anger management issues, as well as depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I have over 25 years of experience as a therapist and still love it. I have found that play therapy and expressive therapies are a valuable resource in working with the very young child, especially those who have been traumatized. I also practice trauma-focused CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, anger management training for middle school/high school age and relational therapy. What I bring to my practice is experience in a wide variety of settings, populations and different therapy modalities. I have recently been Mentored through the ZFive program and have focused more on my love of working with very young children. I have an openness and love for my work.
