I provide person-centered therapy, meaning that I aim to put myself in your shoes non-judgmentally. This doesn’t mean that I am going to be a passive, blank face on a screen. I will also challenge you at times, and add structure to sessions with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a collection of mindfulness practices. Most of my experience has been supporting folks with anxiety, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress, along with folks who use drugs. I also appreciate any opportunity to support people in finding moments of or opportunities for queer joy and/or identity exploration. I utilize approaches that are creative, client-led, and highlight innate strengths. It’s important to me to weave in mindfulness and relaxation techniques into care, to help create mental space for folks to be able to dream and idealize what they would like for their lives and then do the work to design the tangible next steps.
